A former pilot for the Marine Corps (Hoo-Raw), this guy is one tough machine! Now retired and working for the Army as a civilian (is that frowned upon?), you might find him getting his PT in by kayaking, recumbent biking, or perhaps just taking a break and motorcycling around town. And although his 2 sons broke the 3+ generations of pilots, he's stood by all of our crazy dreams and aspirations. Not only is he a great mentor, Major John Thomas is an all-around great American.
