8+ YEARS OF DESIGNS AND WEB SITES
(and to think i'm just now using my skills at work)

Wow, I seriously forgot about all of these! haha...it's def. all good though because I wanted one place to store all my "archives"; web sites, projects, etc i've created over the years, and that i didn't want to just throw away. So yay! You can find all of my original x-ris.com sites here (including personal and "professional" sites), along w/ other bits of randomness here and there. It's basically filled with all sorts of X nonsense. Think of it as a graveyard for my designs :) May they rest in peace, and one day be thought of as exceptional pieces of art. Or, you can just mock them and have a few laughs. Either way, enjoy them kiddies.
A LOOK IN THE PAST: Sites I've designed over the years.

1: Kid Xris
My FIRST real website I did all by my lonesome!
Well, using Dreamweaver actually. My "first" first site was actually on Angelfire.com with my oh so cool (i thought) username: iamataco. haha.. Unfortunately it's now long gone, BUT this one still remains! I designed it while I was interning in New York City for Editor & Publisher Magazine. i was a photo/design intern. and i had a lot of downtime.

The revised version of the above one really...w/ my hair color of the month ;)
The splash page here is my all time favorite as it was my first "logo", and only one actually now that i think about it, but it reminds me of the "good ol' days". It was actually the time when i realized i LOVED black backgrounds w/ white text. Not much has changed :) This one kept most of the previous pages, w/ a few additions.

3: Portfolio
My first graphic design & photography portfolio.
To this day i still find the simplicity and set up of it all super easy and professional. Although i haven't used the template again in the past 6 or 7 years, it might just show up again down the road. It really did work well when sending out resumes as it was straight and to the point.(some links are still "under construction" as i can't find them anymore)

4: Portfolio
My first & only portfolio on CD - and "Director" project.
I don't think i've spent as many hours back then on ANY project as i did w/ this one. Not only was i trying to teach myself how Director worked, but i had a deadline that i needed to meet in order to apply to a job i was after. I think i completed it within 4 days, but i def. didn't sleep enough. That, and i didn't realize how un-professional tht pic of me was on it! oh boy.

5: X-ris
My first Web Design project for an actual grade
In case you didn't notice, it was never completed! haha... i spent hours after hours trying to creat this site with too many things and i never made the deadline. i think it was the first C i ever got (esp in design) and i was happy just get that. i learned a handful of things here: manager my time better, do what is required first, and test test test! it didn't help that i was using Dreamweaver to do something it could not as well.

6: X-ris
A re-creation of the above, but used as my new porfolio
The idea was to use this basic template and revise my portfolio with it. Once again, I decided to mix my "Roxstar" dreams in with my "professional" dreams and tried to use that as my edge in the work force. Although i rarely sent it out and applied myself 100%, something tells me that sticking w/ my original "simple" design (a few sites up) would have proven better.

6.5: X-ris
Another revision of my "Roxstar Portfolio"
I basically tried to upgrade it by taking out any links to my personal party photos and all, and find a better way to showcase my designs and photos. This was probably my least favorite idea, and i never made it live. i put it here though as a reminder of all the steps sites take on over the years. that, and i spent countless hours on it for nothing:)

7: X-ris
My new "X-ris" personal site. One of my favs.
Since the earlier ones were to plain and/or unfinished, i had decided to scrap all of them and re-make my own personl site. Mixing in my very favorite colors of all time, neon green and baby blue, I wanted a new format of getting to all my pics and friends. If it weren't so freakin' hard to update and finish even, it would probably still be up somewhere. me likey this one.

8: R.P.
The original "Roxtar Productions" - i love it
Although this one never made it live too, it was the first time I thought of creating my own company to do who knows what. Roxstar Productions is still around today, but i still have yet to find out how to make use of it and all. Originally it was going to be a friend and i's launchboard of all new products and ideas we had, but now i'm thinking it will end up being my freelance design site once i get around to it. it's one of only a cple sites i want to get use from.

9: X-ris
My longest lasting & favorite "Portfolio" site
My longest lasting portfolio over the years! It played a lot on the old stylings of sites i've done in the past, but it was here to stay. It's one of my favorite sites i've put together, but it was time for a change after 5+ years. As much as i've thought about revising and using it again, I think it'll remain here in my archives...and in my heart. *tear*
